The short version

The open-trip route is fixed and the same on every shared departure. Komodo Luxury quotes the per-person fare on request for your dates, vessel and cabin grade. You sail with roughly 8 to 22 other guests.

  • Four headline stops, plus Kalong Island at sunset on most itineraries
  • Boat, cabin, all meals, snorkelling gear and a guide are included
  • Park fee, alcohol, flights and hotel nights are paid separately
  • Wildlife is wild: no operator can promise a dragon or a manta on any given day

Plate I

Which places the route covers

Komodo Luxury lists these four stops on every 3D2N shared departure. Crews can reorder them for tides, weather and park entry sessions.

Cruises run all year. Most departures fall in the April to November dry season, when seas are calmer and the water clearer. December to March brings more weather changes.

How the 2026 park rules affect a three-day trip

Several changes were reported for 2026. Confirm the current position with the desk when you book.

  1. A daily cap of about 1,000 visitors was reportedly enforced from 1 April 2026, with entry sessions around 05:00–08:00, 08:00–11:00 and 15:00–18:00.
  2. Guests are pre-registered digitally with passport details on the operator manifest, so walk-in entry is not reliable.
  3. From 10 January 2026 the Labuan Bajo harbourmaster reportedly restricted tourist boats from moving after dark in high-risk zones.

Send passport details early, and expect the stop order to follow your entry session.

Plate VI

Share, go private, or sail longer

Three ways to do the same water. The desk can price all of them for your dates.

The outdoor dining table aboard Elbark, set for the whole boat

A shared cabin suits you when

  • You are a couple, a solo guest or a few friends
  • The fixed route and a set departure day already suit you
  • You want a per-person price rather than a whole-boat rate

A private charter suits you when

  • You want your own timing and the whole boat
  • You are travelling as a family or a group
  • One more night would let you add Taka Makassar and Kanawa

A fourth day runs only on selected departures. The 4D3N page sets out what it adds.

How booking works

Five steps, all through the Komodo Luxury reservations team. Nothing is charged on this site.

  1. Send your dates

A preferred departure date, a backup date and your guest count.

  2. Pick a format

A shared cabin on the open trip, or a whole-boat private charter.

  3. Get it in writing

The quote names the vessel, the cabin, the inclusions and how the park fee is handled.

  4. Confirm and register

Accept, follow the payment terms, and send passport details for the park manifest.

  5. Arrive early

Coming from Bali, fly Denpasar to Labuan Bajo the day before you sail.
