You charter the whole vessel. The price follows the boat, its duration and a guest bracket, and Komodo Luxury quotes each charter for your exact dates, headcount and inclusions.

  • Only your party aboard, against roughly 8–22 fellow guests on a shared 3D2N
  • Departure date agreed with the desk rather than fixed to the open-trip pattern
  • Crew, fuel, food and the boat cost the same for four guests as for eight
  • The national park fee is paid once per trip — ask whether your quote includes it

Lady Grace lists an additional charge beyond its 11–20 guest band: IDR 4,000,000 per person on 2D1N, IDR 5,500,000 on 3D2N and IDR 7,000,000 on 4D3N (checked 16 September 2026). The Riley page lists no extra-guest supplement. Elbark, Ayvara, Raffles and Vinca publish thin charter specs, so their rates come from the desk in writing.

Why a charter is never priced per person

The costs do not scale with heads. Crew, fuel, the food supply and the boat itself cost roughly the same whether four people come aboard or eight. That is why Riley's 3D2N rate is one figure for the whole 1–8 bracket.

Divide that by a guessed headcount and the number collapses the moment someone drops out, or a ninth friend pushes you into the next bracket. Ask for a whole-boat quote against your real headcount instead.

  • One rate covers the bracket, so a smaller group pays the same as a full one
  • Crossing into the next bracket is the only step that moves the price
  • The desk will quote a charter and a shared cabin for the same dates, side by side

Most of the trip bends around your group. Park entry sessions, weather and harbour rules still set the outer frame.

For two people a shared cabin is usually cheaper. As your group nears the top of a bracket, a charter starts to make sense.

Send one set of dates and the desk can quote both formats against it, so the gap is a figure rather than a guess.

Confirm these before you charter

Inclusions vary by vessel, and the 2026 park rules changed what a day aboard can look like.

  1. Whether the Komodo National Park fee sits inside your whole-boat quote. It is paid once per trip.
  2. Which entry session your operator holds — a cap of about 1,000 visitors a day was reported as enforced from 1 April 2026, with sessions around 05:00–08:00, 08:00–11:00 and 15:00–18:00.
  3. Passport details early. Digital pre-registration reportedly runs through operator manifests, so walk-in entry is not reliable.
  4. Evening timing. After-dark movement in high-risk park zones was reportedly restricted from 10 January 2026, so boats reach anchor before nightfall.
  5. The season. Cruises run year-round; April–November is the dry season with calmer seas, December–March brings more weather changes.
  6. Your flights. Fly Denpasar (DPS) to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) and arrive the day before departure.
  7. Wildlife. Dragon and manta sightings are never guaranteed, on any format.

Riley is priced 1–8 with a higher 9–10 bracket. Lady Grace lists 10 cabins yet also shows an 11–20 band, so ask how overnight berths work before planning around it.
