Komodo cruise booking starts with one message

There is no automated checkout. The reservations team confirms each departure directly, because cabin inventory, park registration and harbour rules shift week to week.

Send travel dates and guest count. Pick a shared cabin on the 3D2N open trip or a private vessel, get a written quote, pay the deposit under the written terms, then send passport details.

  • Most of the work happens in the first three steps; the last three make you legal to enter the park
  • Your written quote and the operator's terms are what bind the booking
  • This page quotes no deposit percentage, because it differs by vessel and season
  • Availability, wildlife sightings and weather are never guaranteed

Six steps from first message to boarding

Read the terms before you pay. They arrive in writing with the quote.

  1. Send dates and guest count

    Say whether your dates are fixed or can move a day, and mention children's ages.

  2. Choose shared or private

    Shared cabins are sold on the 3D2N open trip. Private charters are priced per boat, for a stated guest range.

  3. Receive a written quote

    It names the vessel, cabin or charter tier, duration, route, inclusions and exclusions.

  4. Pay the deposit

    Deposit size, balance due date and cancellation rules arrive in writing with your quote. Read them before you pay.

  5. Send passport details

    Full name, nationality and passport number for every guest, exactly as printed, for the operator manifest.

  6. Join the pre-departure briefing

    Meeting point in Labuan Bajo, boarding time, packing list, park-fee payment and any weather notes.

Riley's package rates were checked on 16 September 2026. Open-trip rates include the boat, all meals, snorkelling gear and a guide. The main extras are the Komodo National Park fee and optional alcohol. Treat any figure not written in your quote, including numbers on third-party sites, as unconfirmed.

  • The date is yours, subject to vessel availability
  • A stated guest range, with a fee per extra guest on some boats

Why you cannot just turn up at the harbour

Park access in 2026 runs on paperwork, and late walk-in boarding is no longer reliable. Rules can change, so confirm the current position when you book.

  1. A park-wide cap of about 1,000 visitors a day was trialled from January to March 2026 and enforced from 1 April 2026.
  2. Entry runs in time slots, roughly 05:00–08:00, 08:00–11:00 and 15:00–18:00.
  3. Guests are pre-registered digitally with passport details through operator manifests.
  4. The Labuan Bajo harbourmaster (KSOP) reportedly restricted tourist-vessel movement after dark in high-risk park zones from 10 January 2026, so boats keep to schedule to reach anchorages before nightfall.

When to lock in your date

Cruises run all year, but most open-trip departures cluster in the dry season, April to November, when seas are calmer. December to March is the wet season, with more weather-related changes. Weekly departures are publicised for 2026–2027.

Coming from Bali? Hold the cruise date first, then book a Denpasar (DPS) to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) flight that lands the day before departure. A same-day connection leaves no buffer if the flight slips.

  • Hold the boat before you ticket the flight — the boat has one date, the flight has several
  • Send passport details as soon as the booking is confirmed, not the week you travel
  • Tell the desk immediately if a guest changes or renews their passport
